Care Requirements

⚠️ A bioactive enclosure with a live, terrarium-safe plant is required. Hyllus diardi do not thrive in basic plastic enclosures and require a properly established habitat.

• Enclosure: Bioactive enclosure with a live, terrarium-safe plant. Pothos works exceptionally well.
• Temperature: Maintain 80–85°F (27–29°C) during the day. Temperatures should never fall below 77°F (25°C).
• Humidity: Maintain 70–85% humidity with adequate cross ventilation.
• Heating: A reliable heat source is required. It must be regulated with a thermostat and should never directly contact the enclosure.
• Lighting: A full-spectrum LED grow light or equivalent daylight lighting on a 12-hour cycle is highly recommended. Proper lighting benefits both the spider and live plants.
• Water: Offer fresh water droplets several times per week while allowing the enclosure to partially dry between mistings.
• Feeding: Offer appropriately sized flies, roaches, crickets, or other nutritious prey 1–2 times weekly.
