Scolopendra cingulata is a fast-moving, highly active species known for its beautiful iridescent coloration and striking orange legs. This species reaches impressive sizes as adults and makes an incredible addition for experienced invertebrate keepers looking for something unique.

This centipede is approximately 2 inches currently and feeding well on appropriately sized insects.I do have 2 available. As with all centipedes, coloration and appearance may continue to change as it grows and molts.

Please note this species is strictly an observation-only pet and is not recommended for handling. Scolopendra morsitans possess medically significant venom capable of causing extremely painful bites and defensive behavior should always be expected.

Care Requirements:
• Secure, escape-proof enclosure with strong ventilation
• 4–6 inches of moisture-retaining substrate for burrowing
• Temperatures around 80–85°F warm side and 70–75°F cool side
• Humidity around 40–60% with one side lightly misted
• Shallow water dish always available
• Feed appropriately sized insects 1–2 times weekly

Centipedes are incredibly strong and surprisingly good escape artists, so proper enclosure security is extremely important. Newly molted individuals should never be disturbed or fed until their exoskeleton hardens completely.
