This beautiful mature female Phidippus purpuratus is looking for a new home. With her striking white facial band, beautifully speckled abdomen, and curious personality, she is a wonderful example of this stunning North American species.
She is healthy, well established, and feeding enthusiastically on house flies, bottle flies, mealworms, mini mealworms, small crickets, dubia roaches, red runner roaches, and black soldier fly larvae.
I have decided to cut back on the number of P. purpuratus I keep, so I’m offering a few of my adults while continuing to work with the species.
She was acquired as a wild-caught specimen but was represented to me as having matured in captivity. Because of her background, I would prefer she go to an experienced breeder who can potentially contribute to a captive breeding project. While I cannot guarantee her history beyond what was disclosed to me, she is healthy, thriving, and has been well cared for.
She will come with my standard care package, including a temporary enclosure, care guide, feeding chart, adoption certificate, feeding tongs, paintbrush, mini mister, and mealworms to help her settle into her new home.
