This beautiful Arizona Blonde is an impressive specimen with an estimated diagonal leg span of around 4.25 inches. While currently unsexed, I believe this individual is likely female based on overall size and build, though sex cannot be guaranteed until confirmed by a future molt or maturity.

Known for their calm temperament and hardy nature, Aphonopelma chalcodes is one of the best tarantula species for beginners and experienced keepers alike. This species is slow-growing, long-lived, and spends much of its time relaxing near its burrow or hide, making it a wonderful display animal.

This tarantula is feeding well, healthy, and has excellent coloration with the classic sandy blonde carapace and contrasting dark legs that make Arizona Blondes so iconic. She has a great feeding response and is ready for her new home.

Care Requirements

* Terrestrial enclosure with plenty of floor space
* 4 to 5 inches of dry substrate for burrowing
* Shallow water dish with fresh water at all times
* Room temperatures between 68–78°F
* Low humidity with good ventilation
* Feed appropriately sized live insects every 1 to 3 weeks depending on age and body condition

While this species is known for being exceptionally docile, all tarantulas should be treated with respect. Handling is not recommended to avoid accidental falls and unnecessary stress.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, easy-to-care-for New World tarantula with the potential for an incredibly long lifespan, this Arizona Blonde would make an outstanding addition to your collection.
